Proposed board
Draw a grid across the greater Los Angeles area. Use GPS or radio beacons to designate centers or corners of squares in the grid. All or only active squares may be marked.
(active = currently occupied or occupiable on the next move according to the rules of play in force at the time)
Proposed playing pieces
- Blowup figures and balloons such as those seen on top of car dealerships and in New York parades
- Automobiles and other vehicles, decorated or not
- Reception fields of low power radio broadcasts and wireless computer networks
- Bullhorns and sirens
- Groups of fifty or more people acting together, in unison or not, including; dancing, carrying signs, shouting slogans, marching, playing chess, playing music, shopping, or doing other activities
- Buildings, architects, construction and demolition crews
- Food
- Chambers of Commerce, City Councils, and Goverment Agencies
- Laws, statutes, ordinances and decrees issued by those agencies
- Debate leading to the adoption or failure to adopt laws, statutes, etc.
- Maps of greater Los Angeles, real or imagined, marked in grids corresponding to the playing board or not, equipped with playing pieces that may or may not represent the larger game board
- People in costume on street corners holding signs extolling vacant apartments, philosophical positions or random abuse
- Religious fanatics, especially those who wield power or aspire to
